Worked examples

Practice AX on small, inspectable workflows.

These are synthetic fixtures for learning how Agent Experience decisions show up in tool use, authority, recovery, and verification. They are not benchmarks, client stories, or claims about vendor performance.

Exercises with answer keys

Two examples that turn AX principles into a deterministic check.

01

Capability and authority preflight before action

A synthetic billing request shows how an agent should split the job, inspect exposed tools, verify authorization, and stop before a destructive call it is not allowed to make.

02

Timeout recovery: verify before retry

A synthetic sync job shows how an agent should treat an uncertain timeout as product history, verify state, and avoid repeating a side effect blindly.

Crosswalk

Each example touches the five existing AX systems.

  • Orientation and discovery
  • Tools and interfaces
  • Workflows and state
  • Delegated action and trust
  • Evaluation and improvement

Publication boundary

Synthetic means useful without pretending to be measured.

The examples are newly authored public teaching artifacts. They use official public protocol and HTTP sources for their design basis, avoid private research details, and include explicit limits so they do not read like universal claims.
